A pink-collar profession that shouldn’t be.

Hearing the way the majority of Westerners talk as if our educational system were a useful or even harmless institution, as if the only trouble is “funding” or “getting into a good district” makes me feel like I’m in one of those 50’s movies where the hero keeps trying to tell everyone that THE ALIENS ARE COMING or THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING and no one will listen to him. That fictional trope seems to have begun in the 20th century. Most people blame the Cold War. I blame the Frankfort School, feminism, cultural Marxism; all of these things have put sane people in that precise position. But I digress.

If you think that schools are not only useless for learning but are actively destructive to children and damn near lethal for teenagers, it’s because you’re not in a coma. Virtually all teachers are either active conspirators in the quest to destroy civilization, or useful idiots at best.

For an exhaustive survey of how, you can read The Underground History
of American Education
online. I would quibble with a couple of his theories, but most are entirely sound, and the historical information he provides is invaluable.

There was an interesting bit here:

Between 1840 and 1860, male schoolteachers were cleansed from the Massachusetts system and replaced by women. A variety of methods was used, including the novel one of paying women slightly more than men in order to bring shame into play in chasing men out of the business. Again, the move was part of a well-conceived strategy: “Experience teaches that these boys, many of whom never had a mother’s affection…need the softening and refining influence which woman alone can give, and we have, wherever practicable, substituted female officers and teachers for those of the other sex.”

I haven’t read the entire book yet, so I don’t yet know if it relates how this ill-conceived notion of putting women in charge of educating the next generation was spread.

When Westerners ponder the reasons that the Japanese educational system is still so much better than ours, there is one glaring fact they carefully do not mention: 80% of all Japanese schoolteachers are men. Given men’s competitive nature, and women’s usual lack in that respect, no profession dominated by women is going to attract the most competitive, hence most capable people. Not even the most competitive, hence most capable women.

In his excellent book Why Women And Power Don’t Mix, J. P. McDermott points out that the more women there are in an institution, the less public trust it has. Consider that women completely dominate America’s least-trusted institution today, our schools.

heck, what can you expect from a group of people who say this:

the underground history is a good book, but it doesnt finish the story. it sets the stage, and runs up to the 60s where it kind of peters out towards who did what and assigning the situation.

but going back to the “naked communist”, and its list… or if you want going to kenans long letter that starts the cold war, or the work of erin pizzey talking about the brown shirt lesbians of feminism… you will then start to read about how this is all part of gramsci’s long march through the institutions…

  4. Male Chauvinist Woman Says:

We have indeed. And what continues to amaze me is that people who advocate women in combat don’t even acknowledge this completely obvious risk. Recently I came across a thread discussing the old pulp novel The Sheik. It’s a pretty horrifying story; an obnoxious English girl goes alone into the desert, is unsurprisingly captured by a sheik, and he brutally rapes her nightly. The problem is that eventually, from this unambiguously vicious treatment, she falls in love with him. It might happen in real life – it’s called “Stockholm Syndrome” – but it shouldn’t be presented as a romance, and the posters were rightly disgusted about that.

But one dame got her knickers in a twist that the author had that fate befall the girl; she interpreted it as “punishment” because the girl had “claimed male prerogatives, like going on safari”.

Apparently we are to believe that the girl was only kidnapped and raped because the author was mad at her for venturing alone into wilderness inhabited by barbaric, cruel men. That any girl foolhardy enough to do just that would have met precisely the fate of this character had nothing to do with it.

Another thread – I wish I could find the link – was discussing some statistics showing that women between 15 and 25, i.e. the age of highest fertility and attractiveness, were at the highest risk of rape. Some feminist was mad, not at the horrible crime of rape itself, but that rapists were singling out that one group instead of spreading their rapes out equally among all age groups, sexes, etc. Rapists are guilty of discrimination! Let’s sic the ACLU on them! She said that she “would prefer to think” that rape was something everyone was at equal risk of. That is warped beyond belief.

I suppose it’s this kind of thinking that led people to conclude that locking up a bunch of teenage girls with a bunch of teenage boys, with feminist women as the only “authority” figures on the scene, was a good idea. Anyone with any sense could see that these helpless girls will be targets for these increasingly unsocialized males, and they have no one to defend them, but a few decades of lying to themselves about the risks women are exposed to blinded them to this obvious fact.

In regards to Stockholm Syndrome, it seems to me that basically all the famous sufferers were female. Even if that’s not the case, females surely make up a huge majority?

Stockholm Syndrome seems potentially like an extreme example of what you mentioned in your post about letting everybody vote. Women know that sucking up to the invader/hostage taker will allow them to live.

It’s not like I’ve done a study or anything, but it seems like such a huge elephant in the room that it deserves one. Of course we know exactly why no research is done since it would raise serious question about the suitability of women for various positions and why many women stay with and even seek out abusive partners (even many men do this one but it’s more important to feminists that women are never portrayed as making mistakes).

About artfldgr, he can be insanely arrogant but I think he’s probably a mad genius so don’t ban him if he winds you up. Some people elsewhere have spoken to him more privately and apparently he is everything he claims to be (or most of it at least).

He also has an incredible ability to pull up articles from obscure sources. I’d like to know how he finds stuff but he probably just reads 1000 news sites a day.

Thinking in the real world takes effort. Ideology is a shortcut for the common man, who is willing to put his life into the hands of a ‘system’ that they belive makes their live easier and more manageable.

Every age and every person goes through this complicated thing, its no different no matter what age you lived in. in fact today its easier, in that you can read and absorb so much.

Ideology is kind of like taking a schema and projecting that as world truth. what its about is about dictating how the world is. it’s a false way because it’s a clever abuse of the natural positive system we have in which we learn, trust, deal, and progress. Which is why sociopaths love them, and good men don’t.

Anyway, the warped thinking comes from having to make the choice between the warm and comfortable friend called ideology, from which you get instant social life, instant understanding, confidence in your direction, etc. and the uncomfortable real world in which every new thing you notice forces you to remake your model of the world. This was a find process when you were a child, but for most, we are unprepared to realize that this is a lifelong process.

So you have feminism, which declares a worldview. Since its not absolutist (it cant be), it can only create a view. Note that it claims its worldview is the realview, and this is where the funnyness starts. You don’t live in the world, you live in a model of the world that is in your head. This is why you can literally not see things in front of you, why you can imagine things that aren’t there, why the world can be colored in a mood. You cant live in the real now, because there is a lag between reality and the processes that integrate it and work with it.

A quick aside which will save talk later is to bring forth your other statemtent, you have said it several times, and you have the answer, your just not accepting it.

Anyone with any sense could see that these helpless girls will be targets for these increasingly unsocialized males, and they have no one to defend them, but a few decades of lying to themselves about the risks women are exposed to blinded them to this obvious fact.

Just as I can explain this model concept to you. that’s what think tanks do, and the kind of people that the franfurt school and the kind of people that the feminist caucus has, etc.

The difference between a fellow traveler and a useful idiot. The fellow traveler knows that this is the reason that the policy is put in place. It was worked out. Its common sense to do that. The useful idiot, and others, they have to then challenge the situation and actually assert that there is an ulterior motive. But socially we cant do that. In fact, the whole domain of ulterior motives was conveniently moved to the tin hat areas. Convenient, no?

They know the outcomes. The game is to figure out how to sell something that allows them to get that outcome. Your big light is about to come on.

Hitler tried to sell eugenics by the hard sell. It almost worked.
However, it generally will only work once ,you cant sell the same people the same way, but you can sell them a different way. which is why margret sangers thing was called the negro project, when Hitler direct sell was still ok, but later changed to planned parenthood when that was no longer allowed.

Note that the purpose hasn’t changed, just its name, and its position in the artificial mind world. Relativism gets rid of your ability to be able to say… hey, I don’t care what you say your doing, this is what it its.

So no one can say.. hey, I don’t care if you say this is about womans choices, I don’t care if you say this is about privacy (from the people who said to make the private public), what this amounts to is a soft eugenics program.

So when the ideology says that rape is about these male things. And the women don’t trust the men (because they have been abused), which worldview do they adopt? Remember forming your own realview is harder, and we are made to adopt what we learn from others so that we all don’t have to make the same mistakes. So the natural system, which they deny, is actually being manipulated to operate, like a behaviorists machine (skinner), a “happy puppet”. Except that they have convinced the puppets that the ones with no strings are the ones who are puppets and the ones that are puppets have no strings.

So what was the hoped for outcome of not blaming the victim? Or rather, transferring a legal concept into an operable test of life. what you created was a situation, a special situation, where fate would be constantly tested.

Think of seatbelts. You wear them because someone might hit your car (or you their car). If they hit you, you’re the victim. Does this mean that you should not have to wear safety belts? Well if you’re a woman in a mini skirt fed this crap, yes it does.

The view doesn’t make the allowance that there are nut jobs out there and all manner of others. In fact, the rapist these sociopathic women rant about are sociopathic men… they know, because they know themselves, meanwhjile the rest of us are normals who don’t think that way at all, and reletevate the oddness away. After all, we are all the same, so there aren’t sociopath,s and other bad people, right?

The ideology sets up premises, these premises are easier than real life good advice (like good religions provide, and culture), and it says from these premises answers come forth. and conveniently they also guide you along the right logical lines. Since it’s a non ideology, not a real one (so this is actually worse), it can take all sides. The key is that your mind wasn’t made to categorize reality. What you see, whether you consciously know or now, is considered by your mind to be real. There is no such thing as watching a sadistic horror movie and not incorporate it into yourself as “fake”. Which is why the ideology thing is self reinforcing, they bath in the whole thing.

Anyway, back to your example. And I hope I will make the incomprehensible comprehensible.

She said that she “would prefer to think” that rape was something everyone was at equal risk of. That is warped beyond belief.

Is it warped? Its warped to you because you don’t live by the premises of ideology. You don’t have dual thinking (schizo), you have a more absolute view of reality. Your worldview hasn’t learned to ignore inconsistencies as just the world. Your not living inside this provided model, and so your on the hunt for the rules that make the world work, and specifically your world. Your formulating your opinions, and your working out your own premises. Ding ding ding… how do you know your model is good? It predicts outcomes, its verifiable. The scientific method is only an extension of how smart people are more effective in the world in creating their world models.

So in this wack-a-loons world, she has a few premises that they have provided. Everyone should be equal in outcome… not equal opportunity… don’t blame the victim (ignore a person being a part of reality. Opposite of what Schrödinger pointed out, that there is no way for the observer not to be part of the situation – there is no neutral position, or privileged view in the real world – this does not mean there aren’t absolutes).

her rule of procrusteanism, which contradicts the diversity thing, is that everything and everyone has to be equal. It’s the simplest measurement after whole to make. Proportionally it’s the same, it’s the least complicated relative quantity past the singular.

So what you were seeing was her way of fitting what she is taking in as real data, and processing it through the schema, or ideologic premises (which have become her schema).

She wants the world to fit her world view. She has been a good follower, they have given her the answers, and she wants the world to fit what she has invested in. note that women are much easier to do this to since women live in a world less connected to the normal harshness of reality. That’s generally what men are for (also not an appealing thing, but hey, neither you or I designed this, and we have to play the hands we have, not lament the ones we were never dealt).

She also wants commiseration with others of her world view. And so she communicates in terms of that world view. That’s where she has to somehow express the situation to you couched in terms of the world views premises to show right thinking and get connection. This is easier for the fringe of our society who have to connect in such codes anyway.

So in her way, she was saying seig heil? And you looked back at her and said, huh?

Her education is stunted, she cant tell you real world operating principals. She hasn’t operated in the real world. She has formed her real world rules from tv, not from actually interacting with real people. She has little idea of the differences in groups, or in people. She believes all kinds of mish mosh, and feels confident its right because so many others belive the same mish mosh. See how easy it is to get them used to seeing people go to the camps? Everyone believes the same mish mosh.

This is what allows them to side with things like communism/socialism and sell out their own children and the rest of humanity. They have the world view, and rather than deny the club that gives them some meaning in a meaningless world (no children, work like drones, partying is always the same, etc), they then decide to help shape the world. Since they don’t understand any of its real principals, they are not effective, they cant judge what the outcome will be, they cant reason to a cogent end.

But they are enthusiastic, aren’t they?

  12. Artfldgr Says:

    What MCW said:
“When Westerners ponder the reasons that the Japanese educational system is still so much better than ours, there is one glaring fact they carefully do not mention: 80% of all Japanese schoolteachers are men. Given men’s competitive nature, and women’s usual lack in that respect, no profession dominated by women is going to attract the most competitive, hence most capable people. Not even the most competitive, hence most capable women.”

This is interesting that you say this, and I’m guessing the same is true for other countries who have a high rate of science/technology capabilities. Would this be a contributor to the U.S. lagging behind in these disciplines?

I can see some of your points, Art, and yet I have a hard time believing that society, as a whole, is that smart. I can’t believe that so many groups, organizations, companies, government representatives….etc., can come together to create this giant web of supposedly calculated “ulterior motives”. So, logically, if the whole group can’t do this, there is a source. A primary, influential source that is able to perpetuate their ideas, project their agenda, and knowledgably direct the course of US civilization. The question is who? And don’t tell me the US government, because I’ve worked with the government. Most of them aren’t that smart either. Most operate on simple assumptions, and follow directions and trails like lemmings, and don’t understand the words “independent thought”.

    hard time believing, eh?
cant imagine that level of coordination?

well if you look at a capitalist system you would say exactly the same things.

however, the real explanation is that you have lots of free agents with a similar agenda who like termites just do what they can.

they actually operate on very simple rules. first create a front that is self funded, charities work well for this, committees, politicians. all can get donations, and can hide them.

keep an eye out for fellow travelers and when you notice that they speak the language (change, progressive etc), then lift them up. give them a job, etc.

look to certain writers and authors and such that read a small article in one paper, then write another.

one only has to watch an incident happen, then watch how a few writers will say something, then in about a week, the feminists will then have lots of people writing and such.

like a magic trick its only complicated when you dont know how it operates.

here is an eye opener for you. written in 1946, its George Kennans long letter that started the cold war.

i will be 100 that you have never read it. http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/coldwar/documents/episode-1/kennan.htm

here is a cut and past from Part 4: Following May Be Said as to What We May Expect by Way of Implementation of Basic Soviet Policies on Unofficial, or Subterranean Plane, i.e. on Plane for Which Soviet Government Accepts no Responsibility

    3. A wide variety of national associations or bodies which can be dominated or influenced by such penetration. These include: labor unions, youth leagues, women’s organizations, racial societies, religious societies, social organizations, cultural groups, liberal magazines, publishing houses, etc.

doesnt that sound like the whole left leaning polity of todays election?

of course since thats exactly what they did! you can read it. you can read their admissions to it. you can read the leaders quotes.

remember when someone opposes the sisterhood… (or any other group), they then act like socialist brown shirts and jam the person. they yell, the out them, they discredit them.

havent you notices that the left is a cult? you can join, and htey will ‘love bomb’ you… you will have freinds, and such… but try to leave and what do you get?

with PC, the rest of the world joins in. “fascist” they yell, but fascism is socialist…

Mcarthyite… that your a tin hatter. though if you check, mcarthy was right and listed 12,000operatives.

imagine that yale, harvard, and columbia, was all devoted to creating operatives…

now you know what the top schools in russia were created as. only those trusted as operatives got education in sciences, politics, finance, etc.

how many people do they educate per year? Well lets say 2000 people each. That would mean 6,000 people a year since 1918 when they started this.

that would mean a half million people educated and let loose on the world. And since the fall of the wall and open boarders, the process was made a whole lot faster.

Do you think a half million people with the same idea could change things?

Now here how its structured, and remember this was written in 1946.

Inner central core of Communist Parties in other countries. While many of persons who compose this category may also appear and act in unrelated public capacities, they are in reality working closely together as an underground operating directorate of world communism, a concealed Comintern tightly coordinated and directed by Moscow. It is important to remember that this inner core is actually working on underground lines, despite legality of parties with which it is associated.
    2. Rank and file of Communist Parties. Note distinction is drawn between those and persons defined in paragraph 1. This distinction has become much sharper in recent years. Whereas formerly foreign Communist Parties represented a curious (and from Moscow’s standpoint often inconvenient) mixture of conspiracy and legitimate activity, now the conspiratorial element has been neatly concentrated in inner circle and ordered underground, while rank and file–no longer even taken into confidence about realities of movement–are thrust forward as bona fide internal partisans of certain political tendencies within their respective countries, genuinely innocent of conspiratorial connection with foreign states. Only in certain countries where communists are numerically strong do they now regularly appear and act as a body. As a rule they are used to penetrate, and to influence or dominate, as case may be, other organizations less likely to be suspected of being tools of Soviet Government, with a view to accomplishing their purposes through [apparent omission] organizations, rather than by direct action as a separate political party.

The only reason we notice it now is the comment after the bolded area.

They are now so strong and such that they can stand in the open. 30 years ago, obama would never let people know he was a socialist. Now it’s the reason they are going to elect him. so now you can see the left politics all working together since the big lie is so entrenched.

That was all written in 1946.. and by the way, the man who coined the term mcarthism, was a spy. Mcarthy named him, and he wrote a book to smear mcarthy. The book was published and the whole system went into pull for it. so that was its power in mcarthies era.

    How about today?

Let me know if this next set of excerpts totally describes todays political situation as above.

It may be expected that component parts of this far-flung apparatus will be utilized in accordance with their individual suitability, as follows:
    (a) To undermine general political and strategic potential of major western powers. Efforts will be made in such countries to disrupt national self confidence, to hamstring measures of national defense, to increase social and industrial unrest, to stimulate all forms of disunity. All persons with grievances, whether economic or racial, will be urged to spelt redress not in mediation and compromise, but in defiant violent struggle for destruction of other elements of society. Here poor will be set against rich, black against white, young against old, newcomers against established residents, etc.
    (b) On unofficial plane particularly violent efforts will be made to weaken power and influence of Western Powers of [on] colonial backward, or dependent peoples. On this level, no holds will be barred. Mistakes and weaknesses of western colonial administration will be mercilessly exposed and exploited. Liberal opinion in Western countries will be mobilized to weaken colonial policies. Resentment among dependent peoples will be stimulated. And while latter are being encouraged to seek independence of Western Powers, Soviet dominated puppet political machines will be undergoing preparation to take over domestic power in respective colonial areas when independence is achieved.
    (c) Where individual governments stand in path of Soviet purposes pressure will be brought for their removal from office. This can happen where governments directly oppose Soviet foreign policy aims (Turkey, Iran), where they seal their territories off against Communist penetration (Switzerland, Portugal), or where they compete too strongly, like Labor Government in England, for moral domination among elements which it is important for Communists to dominate. (Sometimes, two of these elements are present in a single case. Then Communist opposition becomes particularly shrill and savage. [)]
    (d) In foreign countries Communists will, as a rule, work toward destruction of all forms of personal independence, economic, political or moral. Their system can handle only individuals who have been brought into complete dependence on higher power. Thus, persons who are financially independent–such as individual businessmen, estate owners, successful farmers, artisans and all those who exercise local leadership or have local prestige, such as popular local clergymen or political figures, are anathema. It is not by chance that even in USSR local officials are kept constantly on move from one job to another, to prevent their taking root.
    (e) Everything possible will be done to set major Western Powers against each other. Anti-British talk will be plugged among Americans, anti-American talk among British. Continentals, including Germans, will be taught to abhor both Anglo-Saxon powers. Where suspicions exist, they will be fanned; where not, ignited. No effort will be spared to discredit and combat all efforts which threaten to lead to any sort of unity or cohesion among other [apparent omission] from which Russia might be excluded. Thus, all forms of international organization not amenable to Communist penetration and control, whether it be the Catholic [apparent omission] international economic concerns, or the international fraternity of royalty and aristocracy, must expect to find themselves under fire from many, and often [apparent omission].

The Utter Dysfunction of the United Nations

A report written by “a concerned group of current and former UN employees” and emailed from IO Watch.

Recently Mark Malloch Brown, deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, said that “Middle America” did not know how the US is constructively engaged with the UN because of UN detractors and too much unchecked UN-bashing and stereotyping over too many years. Friends, the UN deserves to be bashed and bashed hard. Please allow us to give you a glimpse into how the United Nations is run:

Hirings and promotions routinely violate UN rules (and are illegal under most national laws) and revolve around patronage and whom one knows rather than professional qualifications. Poorly performing managers are simply moved into different management slots while others are placed in senior positions solely because of their nationality, or because of favors owed to them by their supervisors or colleagues.

Salaries for UN employees are free of taxes and come with six weeks vacation, 11 holidays, 10 sick days that are often used as vacation, plus 4 weeks of “home leave”, rental and housing grants to supplement an already generous salary (we all make an average of $7,000-$10,000 a month tax free), a pension at 8% of salary times years of service that can be cashed out tax free at any time, and educational subsidies for children of UN employees. Many also participate in an “alternative work schedule” in which they get every other Friday off. But don’t even try to apply. Your application will not be acknowledged nor will you ever get invited for a job interview. You must know someone to work at the UN (or worse, sleep with them).

Several of us have advanced degrees in management and have been trained to manage large public organizations, yet we are blocked from advancing by bureaucrats in their 50s with no management training, education, or experience – only sitting in their chairs because they are friends with someone in a higher position. We threaten them because they know they are there based only on their connections.

And there is a profound lack of accountability within the UN regarding budget and resource allocation, resulting in loss of millions upon millions each year through skimming, graft and corruption. Simple procurement that would normally take five minutes using modern technology systems takes 2-3 months in the UN. And many United Nations Development Program country offices pay “local experts” outrageously high sums of money for products of dubious quality. Such contracts would never be made by other international aid agencies such as USAID that have much stronger internal controls and oversight.

We are all familiar with outrageous examples of scandals within the UN system, and yet time and again the scandal is covered up. In fact, a recent article on internal management in the Financial Times cited a UN-commissioned report released in 1994 that was remarkably damning and yet, as the article noted, nothing has changed which has led to this present crisis of credibility at the UN.

Despite its dysfunction, if the UN were actually making a difference, many would mutter to themselves but the UN deserves its strongest bashing because of its profound inability to respond to genocide, war, famine, natural disasters, and corruption.

Kofi Annan, current head of the United Nations who ironically lives in a mansion in New York worth about $10 million, was head of peacekeeping operations in 1994 in Rwanda when 800,000 people died. In 2004, he said “I believed at that time that I was doing my best” despite the fact that he held back UN troops from intervening to settle the conflict and declined to provide more logistic and material support to stop the slaughter.

And don’t forget that ten years ago thousands of Bosnian Muslims were murdered by the Serb militias who were in a UN protected “safe haven” with hundreds of UN soldiers assigned to defend them. Yet the UN stood by while the entire adult and teenage male population was systematically butchered.

Kofi Annan was unable to stop mismanagement of the Oil-for-Food Program that allowed Saddam Hussein’s regime to embezzle $4.4 billion through pricing irregularities and an additional $5.7 billion through illegal oil smuggling. And for several years Kofi’s son Kojo received payments from the Swiss company Cotecna (while not even working there!), which won a lucrative contract under the UN Oil for Food program.

Kofi Annan protected Ruud Lubbers, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, against a report that found him guilty of sexual harassment by declaring him innocent. This created a global protest against Annan, resulting in Lubbers being eventually forced to resign, not because of his own egregious actions, but because he was starting to adversely impact Annan’s public image. By the way, Annan’s image is propped up around the world thanks to an $85 million dollar annual “communications” budget. What other modern corporation has two directors of communication like the UN doe – one for the UN “Secretariat” and one for the Secretary General.

Kofi Annan accepted a $500,000 prize from the ruler of Dubai, courtesy of a judges’ panel full of U.N. cronies, one member of which Annan then appointed to a high U.N. job! By the way, Annan was advised to take the prize money by Malloch Brown who rents a home in Westchester County from his friend George Soros for $12,000 a month with a $287,087 annual salary.

Kofi Annan remains in power despite continuing sexual abuse scandals by UN peacekeepers. A 2005 internal UN investigation found that sexual abuse and forced pregnancies has been reported in at least five countries where UN peacekeepers have been deployed including the Congo, Haiti, Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, and Liberia.

And Kofi Annan remains in power while genocide continues in Darfur, while Zimbabwe tailspins into despotism, while up to a third of the population of some African countries will die from AIDS, while government corruption keeps the poorest countries in starkest poverty, and while the U.N. Human Rights Council includes repressive non-democratic states such as Cuba, China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia.

Kofi Annan and Mark Malloch Brown arrogantly ignore the fact that the quality of life of several of us has come close to being destroyed because of the mismanagement, abuse, fraud and corruption. Most who work for the UN are so used to its dysfunctionality that they have NO idea how sick the organization is or they are unwilling to come forward because UN labor laws and protections are abysmal. Coming forward to a kangaroo court will only result in firing or worse. Please refer to the recent report prepared by UK Barrister and Human Rights QC Geoffrey Robertson on behalf of UN Staff, which highlights the gross deficiencies of worker protections at the UN at http://www.iowatch.org – and read about so many more abuses at http://www.iowatch.org.

Adding insult to injury, the newly created OIOS (the new “independent” internal oversight panel established to “reform” the UN) has been strong-armed by Malloch Brown and is not independent because its meager budget comes directly from the UN, equal to about one-half of Annan’s annual PR budget! Thus all are dissuaded from within the UN from coming forward.

And what really happened at UNDP, the organization that Malloch Brown used to “lead”? Why would Malloch Brown leave his influential post as head of UNDP to spend a year defending the scandals swirling around Kofi Annan and then announce that he would resign when Kofi leaves at the end of this year? Because he royally mismanaged UNDP. Everyone at UNDP knows this but is too scared to share the details of what happened for fear of retaliation by Brown. But ask UNDP Country Directors and UNDP Practice Managers what happened under King Mark’s reign and you will get a completely different picture of his mismanagement skills and bombastic ways.

Another example, in order to uphold their political neutrality, UN employees are expressly barred from political participation and yet UNDP employee Justin Leites was allowed to campaign for U.S. Presidential candidate John Kerry – with MMB’s approval!

As the walls literally crumble down around them, those who work for the UN and citizens who believe in the founding principles of the UN have no understanding how bad it really is. Unfortunately, we encourage young people who are seeking a career in international affairs to avoid the United Nations at all costs. We wish there would come a day when we would no longer make this recommendation.

Of course the senior leadership of the UN try to hide the profound problems of the UN but shame on them for saying that Americans don’t know or understand how the US is engaged with the UN. If you and everyone in Middle America truly understood what ails the UN, the US, which funds $3.3 billion annually or 22% of the entire UN budget, would shut off the money spigot yesterday.

And remember – the talk of “reforming the UN” has gone on for over a DECADE. In sum, the UN should be shuttered, allowing a brand new organization to emerge because the current UN is broken beyond repair.

Not much has changed since the UN was founded 60 years ago. The UN could have done much, much better in making the word a better place.

Make no mistake. This is about the future of YOUR world – a world of some 180 countries desperate for a better life for all their citizens. Don’t let self-interested, incompetent middle-aged bureaucrat hacks – most raised and educated under dictatorships – determine the future of OUR world.

Please contact your two Senators and your representative to the House of Representatives by clicking here: http://www.house.gov/writerep/. Ask your Senators and Congressman to stop discussing “reform” of the UN. Ask your Senators and Congressman to create a NEW organization that can lead the world well into the 21st Century. This is NOT a Democrats vs. Republicans debate. All Democrats and all Republicans should be able to easily agree that if deep, deep reform is not possible, the UN should be closed and a new organization should be created to truly make the world a better place. This is a non-partisan issue! Please share this with family and friends and post it on your favorite blogs. For more information, please contact Edward Patrick Flaherty at info@iowatch.org who represents UN employees including our views here.

Please share this with family and friends and post it on your favorite blogs. and Q, since you once brought up the UN and UNESCO, i thought i might show you something.

also, notice that in the past the soviets claimed that the UN was their means of moving and communicating their goals. after all, they can enter the us there, talk to people privately, and coordinate all they want. then leave the building. you can read a lot from many defectors, and if you know the history, with alger hiss, and tons of other things, its hard to think of the UN the way its presented (same with sanger, no?)

read this, and note that theirs is a socialist political system. not a capitalist one based on merit. even more interesting is to compare the behaviors and things to todays politicians, and the past. when bad in the past, they were out… now, they do whats in the doc below. this doc appeared from dissecting leftism blog.

Poorly performing managers are simply moved into different management slots while others are placed in senior positions solely because of their nationality, or because of favors owed to them by their supervisors or colleagues.

    told you serendipity runs high..

now will you research rwanda a bit more before you blithly believe a nice anthropology book?

bet you his book doesnt let you know that the when the UN acts no one else does… or that this is the situation, right?

THE UNBEARABLE FLEXIBILITY OF BELIEFS: SCANDINAVIAN FELLOW TRAVELERS

    By: Lennart Sjöberg

you can do a search and find it.

    Abstract

This paper is about the political psychology of opportunism and risk denial. The concept of fellow travelers is applied to the analysis of four Scandinavian writers (three of them very well-known locally) who traveled to Nazi Germany in the 1930’s and the People=s Republic of China (PRC) during the Cultural Revolution. Their writings are analyzed for the distortions of reality they depicted, often quite glaring. In most cases, the admiration they expressed for totalitarian and brutal regimes was connected with a rejection of their own culture, in spite of the fact that they had reached very prominent positions in their home countries and were, in three cases, invested with considerable power. The cases are discussed from a social psychological standpoint, on the presumption that understanding the sort of evil propaganda practiced by some prominent members of a democratic country should be of some aid towards promoting human dignity.
