A woman talks sense about women

The Silly Sex? By Ilana Mercer

In fairness, the legal emancipation of women only began in earnest in the 19th century—a situation that parallels the predicament of the Jews….

But where have women been since 1950? Over the last five decades women, who make up roughly 50 percent of the world’s population, have claimed only 2 percent of the Nobel Prizes in the sciences. In literature, women have claimed only 8 percent. No woman has won a Nobel in economics.

During that period Jews, who comprise less than 0.5 percent the world’s population, have claimed 32 percent of the Nobel Prizes for medicine, 32 percent for physics, 39 percent for economics and 29 percent of all science awards.

‘A Christmas Story’: Nullified By The State

Set in the 1940s, the film, “A Christmas Story,” depicts a series of family vignettes through the eyes of nine-year-old Ralphie, who yearns for that gift of all gifts: the Daisy Red Ryder BB gun. This was boyhood before “bang-bang you’re dead” was banned; family life prior to “One Dad Two Dads Brown Dad Blue Dads,” and Christmas without the ACLU.

If children could choose their families, most would opt for the kind depicted in “A Christmas Story.” But they can’t. “Progressives” have consigned that middle-class family from hell to the dustbin of history. To them it has long been axiomatic that the traditional family is the source of oppression for women and children.

I certainly would have chosen that sort of family. The article goes on to discuss the Frankfurt School’s plot.

Run, Little Man, If You Can

In every boy there’s a girl waiting to break free. If boys were only encouraged to get in touch with their Inner Whiner, the problems plaguing them in schools and society at large would likely dissipate.

Distilled to its essence, this is the position some in the women’s movement are advancing. Feminists once aimed to unseat men, now they are actively engaged in queering them.

Manly No More

I’ve often wondered whether decades of emasculation—legal and cultural—have bred these men. It would seem my hunch may have more merit than I imagined. On Halloween, Dr. Thomas Travison and colleagues at the New England Research Institutes in Watertown, Mass., released this hormonal horror story: American men are indeed losing the stuff that makes them macho.
